Former Federal Reserve Chair Paul Volcker to Speak at Family Centers Breakfast
Even though the stock market is showing signs of improvement, questions still remain whether the global financial picture is rebounding or if rough times still lie ahead.
Former Federal Reserve Chairman and renowned economist Paul Volcker will share his expert insight on the state of the world's financial landscape during a keynote address at Family Centers' Business Breakfast on Tuesday, April 12. The event will be held from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Stamford Plaza Hotel and Conference Center.
Tickets start at $125. Sponsorship opportunities including a post-breakfast Q&A session and photo with Volcker are also available. All proceeds from the event benefit Family Centers' programs that assist families and individuals in crisis.
For nearly 60 years, Volcker has been a primary resource world leaders have relied on for insightful and responsible economic counsel. From 1979-1987, Volcker served the Chairman of the Federal Reserve under presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. During his tenure, he was credited for ending the increasing inflation seen in the United States during the 1970s and early 1980s. Most recently, Volcker served as Chairman of President Barack Obama's Economic Recovery Advisory Board.
