Family Centers Launches New Home-Based Family Counseling Program
For many parents of a despondent or confrontational child, the inability to make a connection can lead to overwhelming feelings of frustration and hopelessness.
To help parents and their kids find common ground and open the lines of communication, Family Centers has created a new home-based counseling initiative called the Parent Coaching and Family Counseling Program (PCFCP). Offered to families with children of all ages living in Greenwich, Stamford, Darien and New Canaan, the PCFCP helps parents instill structure and consistency, while providing the support they need to raise well-balanced kids.
All sessions are conducted in the comfort and privacy of clients' homes, and are facilitated by licensed clinical social workers.
Through the PCFCP, parents can establish positive communication practices with their children, develop house rules, set limits and learn problem-solving techniques to help with school and social issues.
