Produced by Foundation of Light, Inc., Faces of Light® features the stories of more than 20 breast cancer survivors from Darien. Through photographs taken by local photographer Ben Larrabee, brief medical histories, and inspirational personal anecdotes, the exhibit shares these women's strength and courage as they battled . Since its inception in October 2006, Faces of Light® collections have been on display at various locations in Connecticut including the Capitol Building in Hartford, the Yale Physicians Building in New Haven and the Tully Health Center in Stamford
"We hope that coming face to face with these courageous breast cancer survivors and their stories raises awareness that early detection saves lives and provides hope for those who will have to make this journey with breast cancer," said Center for HOPE Director Deirdre Lewin.
Two additional Foundation of Light, Inc.-produced Faces of Light® collections are also on display at the Bendheim Cancer Center in Greenwich and the Tully Health Center in Stamford. Tim Coffey provided the photography for the Stamford exhibit.
