Family Centers Named Among Nation's Best Nonprofits by Charity Navigator
For the fifth consecutive year, Charity Navigator, the largest independent evaluator of U.S. charities, awarded Family Centers with its 4-star rating for outstanding fiscal management.
The 4-star designation is Charity Navigator's highest honor, and indicates that Family Centers outperforms the majority of nonprofits in America with respect to fiscal responsibility. Less than a quarter of the nonprofits surveyed in the U.S. receive the 4-star endorsement, and just 6 percent manage to earn the honor five years in a row. This consistent recognition from Charity Navigator assures Family Centers' donors that their philanthropic efforts support one of the most effective and efficient charitable organizations in the nation.
"As the nonprofit sector continues to grow at an unprecedented pace, savvy donors are demanding more accountability, transparency and quantifiable results from the charities they choose to support with their hard-earned dollars," said Ken Berger, Charity Navigator President & CEO. "In this competitive philanthropic marketplace, Charity Navigator,
America's premier charity evaluator, highlights the fine work of efficient charities such as Family Centers, and provides donors with essential information needed to give them greater confidence in the charitable choices they make."
Charity Navigator works to guide intelligent giving. We help charitable givers make intelligent giving decisions by providing information on over five thousand charities and by evaluating the financial health of each of these charities. We ensure our evaluations are widely used by making them easy to understand and available to the public free of charge. By guiding intelligent giving, we aim to advance a more efficient and responsive philanthropic marketplace, in which givers and the charities they support work in tandem to overcome our nation's most persistent challenges. Charity Navigator is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization under the Internal Revenue Code and does not accept any contributions from any charities we evaluate.
