United Way Honors Family Centers' CEO and Senior Advisor
Family Centers’ President & CEO Bob Arnold was honored by the United Way of Western Connecticut for his commitment to strengthening the social service network in lower Fairfield County.
At the United Way of Western Connecticut’s Stamford Community Awards Luncheon on June 18, Arnold was presented with the Advocate Award. The honor is presented to a leader who has proven to be a role model in the community, while challenging others to become involved in advocacy, volunteerism and philanthropy.
For more than 30 years as Family Centers’ President, Arnold has focused on creating effective and economically efficient delivery systems for the health, education and human service programs that serve the communities throughout lower Fairfield County. By doing so, he’s built Family Centers into a trusted and comprehensive resource where children, families and individuals can obtain the tools and skills necessary to overcome any obstacle life throws their way.
Family Centers’ Senior Advisor Victoria Zerjav was also presented the United Way’s Volunteer Award for her numerous contributions to the community. In addition to her service with Family Centers, Zerjav serves on the United Way’s Volunteer Council and the Stamford YMCA Board of Directors.
Zerjav’s experience as an attorney specializing in employee benefits and executive compensation was instrumental in guiding the United Way’s merger with the Volunteer Center in 2012 and Family Centers’ merger with Literacy Volunteers of Stamford/Greenwich in 2013.
